Distinctive Home Improvements, Inc. & Distinctive Design-Build, Remodel, Inc.  Inc. has been involved in your community for many years, previously owned by twin brothers who have an extreme eye for detail, organization and professionalism.  The history of Distinctive goes back to 1991 as a company started out of their parent’s garage performing small odd jobs for neighborhood clients. Over the years we developed into a well-known remodeling firm performing approximately 50-75 renovations per year for repeat and new clients. Approximately 2 years ago in the start of a particularly trying economy, Rick and I decided to be most competitive within the market place we needed to form our own separate companies.  He is operating in the Northwestern suburbs for clients and prospect of his, and I have kept the Distinctive name intact as to continue to provide exceptional service & traditional that we built together over the years.  To this date that has proved to be a positive decision and been worth our clients while.

Over the years we’ve had several projects publicized in “Signature Kitchen & Bathroom” home improvement magazine. “Remodeling Magazine” has recognized Distinctive as one of the nations "Big-50" remodeling contractors earlier this decade for the year, and will be quoted in the Dec. 2008 issue.  Distinctive has appeared on the “Top 500” remodeling contractor nationwide for the 5 years since 2000 by Qualified Remodeler Magazine. Other accomplishments included a television show for the DIY network’s “To the Rescue” where Distinctive bailed out a Homeowner on a basement renovation gone… well not so good!
